Workplace Issues
UAW 4811 members enforce our workplace rights together.
If you are having a workplace issue, fill out the form below and a peer union representative will follow up. Examples of possible issues include:
Pay – late or incorrect pay, incorrect step placement, not receiving a merit increase or review
Flexible Work Arrangements – change in a flexible work arrangement, return to office order
Abusive Conduct – bullying, harassment, or discrimination
Health and Safety – unsafe campus work environments
Appointments – not receiving the proper %FTE or appointment length
Access Needs – denial of a reasonable accommodation
Workload – being asked to work over your workload maximum or take on significant additional duties without compensation
Classifications – being asked to perform work outside your job classification or being denied a reclassification
In many cases issues can be resolved quickly and informally, but in instances where the University administration is not honoring our union contract, workers have access to a fair, transparent, and independent grievance process to resolve the dispute. The grievance process involves meetings with UC administrators and, when necessary, an appeal to a neutral, third-party arbitrator to make a final, binding ruling. Experienced peer union representatives will help support through all stages of this process.
