UAW Local 4811 is the union of 60,000+ higher ed workers at the University of California, UC College of the Law, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab: Academic Student Employees, Postdocs, Academic Researchers, and Professional Staff. Together, we collectively bargain to improve our working conditions and strengthen the research and public service mission of UC, strengthen our political voice to pass pro-worker, pro-science policy, and build our power by bringing more workers into the labor movement.
Our union.
By coming together as union members, staff and academic workers at UC have a voice in our workplace and the power to win economic and social justice at UC and beyond.
