Together, we collectively bargain for better working conditions and build power to win a fairer and more democratic workplace at UC Law SF. UC Law SF Student Workers won their first union contract in December 2025!

Contract highlights include:
Compensation:
Increased pay for all Student Workers
Stipended Student Workers, including OASIS/LEOP TAs, Sack Fellows, and LRW TAs, receive a stipend of $1,000 per semester.
Hourly Student Workers are paid $21/hour, provided that the amount shall also always be at least 9.5% above the San Francisco minimum wage.
DRP Notetakers are paid $106.09 for each credit of the relevant class.
Non-Discrimination in Employment
Enforceable right to work in an environment free from discrimination.
Immigration
The College will make reasonable efforts to request that a federal immigration or DHS agent comply with legal requirements before they interrogate, search, or seize any Student Worker or their property.
Grievance Procedure
A grievance procedure with clear timelines and recourse for addressing workplace issues.
